Indian biotech industry reached sales of US$ 2.9 billion in 2010-2011 and is projected to reach US$ 8.6 billion by 2015. Average growth of the industry in the last 10 years has been in 2 digits. Indian companies, particularly SME's, are now looking at joint venture & tie ups with overseas biotech companies to take the next leap in this business. Several companies have shown interest to work with Manitoba based life sciences companies.

Manitoba Trade & Investment representative in India, Jagat Shah will be conducting a session in Winnipeg on March 22 2012 from 11:30am to 1:30 pm to present the life sciences picture of India and to connect the interested Indian & Manitoba companies to each other.

This session will be followed by a one to one meetings between Jagat Shah and interested Manitoba companies from 2:30pm onwards.
