Value Based Health Care in Manitoba - Redesigning the Supply Chain for Success

Join us for a full day forum shifting the discussion towards maximizing outputs in the healthcare system with an emphasis on adopting technologies into the healthcare system. Key to this will be how novel technologies and products can be adopted and incorporated into the healthcare system. Speakers for this event include:

Dr. Brock Wright, President and CEO, Shared Health Services Manitoba, will provide a brief overview of the new Provincial Health Organization, its clinical governance model, and the opportunities a shift to value based thinking can benefit our healthcare system at a provincial level.

Pamela Robertson, Managing Director, Adroitness Consulting Group Inc. was engaged as the MEDEC Lead for Strategic Procurement. Pamela has been instrumental in advancing new tools which will help companies overcome the barriers of new product adoption and encourage value based procurement.

Dr. Hameed Khan of Alberta Innovates will discuss the experience of working toward value based healthcare in Alberta. Tasked with leading this multi million-dollar initiative in Alberta, he will provide insight into this multi-faceted topic.

Ken Spears, Country Director and Regional VP at Boston Scientific and the Chair of MEDEC's Western Committee. Ken is an active health system advocate. His areas of focus include improving patient outcomes, health system value for money and the evidence-based adoption of innovative health technology. Ken will provide an industry perspective on the benefits of technology adoption into the healthcare system.

Marshall Ring,  Marshall has been involved in company formation and commercializing early-stage technologies since the late 90s. He is committed to providing executive mentoring, and building a strong network for Manitoba Technology Accelerator member companies. He has great reach into many national markets, service providers, and investors.

Earl Gardiner, Earl founded RANA in 1988, building on his passion for using innovation to create respiratory care programs that support sufferers of sleep disordered breathing (SDB) and respiratory disease.
